Hojicha is a Japanese specialty. It is made in the same way as Sencha that it's steamed, dried, formed, but then roasted. The taste becomes ripe, soft and slightly sweet. Roasting removes much of the caffeine, it is common in Japan to drink it in the evening.
The raw material is taken at the pruning of the bushes after the first harvest. Because it is lightly roasted it becomes soft and delicate with a long aftertaste.

Taste strength: Mild
Ingredients: Green tea.

How to make: Boil up fresh cold water
Teacup: 300ml
Use 2 Teaspoons / 3 grams of tea
Steep for 1-3 min
